Storage - Moving Towards Tailored Solutions




Abstract: This is an exciting time to be in the Storage industry. The keynote will focus on key trends relating to Storage from an industry, market and technology perspective and the resulting transformation in storage architecture. It will also focus on innovatively managing media complexity coupled with a solution-oriented ecosystem approach to meet the increasing demand for data-storage.

Bio: Phil Brace is executive vice president, Electronic Solutions, responsible for business planning and strategy across all Seagate solid state activities, along with core electronics product development and electronics RD functions in the combined Seagate and LSI SSD teams. Prior to joining Seagate, he was executive vice president of LSI Corporations Storage Solutions Group, where he was responsible for LSIs enterprise and client storage technologies, including hard disk drive SoCs and pre-amps RAID chips and controller cards; serial attached SCSI SAS storage controllers and flash storage processors. Brace brings more than 20 years of semiconductor experience to his current role. Brace received his masters degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento and his bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo Canada.
